History

Reisterstown Main Street began as a grassroots effort by passionate community members who wanted to preserve the historic character of our town while promoting economic growth and community pride. Recognizing the potential of Main Street as a central hub for commerce, culture, and connection, the organization was founded to breathe new life into the area.

Over the years, we’ve worked closely with residents, local businesses, and government partners to secure funding for revitalization projects, including façade improvement grants, public art installations, and historic preservation efforts. We’ve hosted events like Music on Main, Blomin’ArtFest, and the Reisterstown Festival, which have become staples of our community life.

Our journey hasn’t been without challenges, but we’ve continually adapted and grown, thanks to the dedication of volunteers, sponsors, and supporters. Moving into the future, we remain committed to expanding our initiatives, filling storefronts with thriving businesses, and making Reisterstown Main Street a vibrant destination where history and modernity meet.
